Meet Brianne Integrated Dental Hygienist & Oral Systemic Educator

May 31, 2022

Brianne Carter, RDH, COSE is a Practicum Level Oral Systemic Educator who moved from a clinical role to an integrated one at Oklahoma City Indian Clinic, which serves 15,000 Native Americans from three states.

Two new permanent roles (in pediatrics and women's health) were created as a result of her practicum internship, and she expects to see an Integrated RDH on every team OCIC has in the near future.

Brianne speaks to the Oral Systemic Educator Certificate Program as what prepared her to collaborate with medical providers and supported her developing these roles. She has now moved into a supervisor role and her system requires that each integrated hygienist they hire completes the OSE program. They appreciate being able to outsource this education to NNHH.

Listen in as Brianne talks about how Registered Dental Hygienists are licensed healthcare providers who do so much more than clean teeth. We are passionate preventive oral systemic disease educators and specialists.
